ONstage at Kaufman Astoria Studios

On location

Queens, NY

ONstage develops the last two vacant parcels at Kaufman Astoria Studios—New York City’s oldest film studio—amid a dense residential urban context. The project integrates complementary and technically complex programs into a single building, stacking support spaces above the stages. The design streamlines the constant interaction between frontstage and backstage essential for every film production to create the big screen magic.
