Prefab innovation in the 60s

Bolton, VT

Looking to develop cost-effective housing to meet social needs, architects in the late 1960s frequently turned to modular and prefabricated construction. In this spirit, the Architectural Research and Development Corporation (ARDEC) developed design-build techniques to produce prefabricated attached and modular housing. Though not always prefabricated, GLUCK+ more recent housing projects carry on with this early impulse: to design high-quality affordable housing for all.
