Story Collection How is ALDB done?

The deeper the architect’s engagement in the entire design process, the greater the chances for the emergence of good architecture. It is that simple. The integration of construction knowledge during design and design sensibility during construction not only allows for the realization of high-quality architecture but also informs every aspect of the design process, from its conceptual underpinnings to its material detailing.

Duke University Marine Laboratory’s program was 37% larger than its budget. Rather than reducing the building’s size or limiting its program we presented a comprehensive design that met all the client’s criteria.
